you will be asked to light your candle and offer a silent
prayer for peace and harmony.
Guest Speaker: Most Rev. Oscar A. Solis
The Most Reverend Oscar Azarcon Solis is the tenth Bishop of the
Diocese of Salt Lake City.He was appointed by Pope Francis on
January 10, 2017 and installed on March 7, 2017 at the Cathedral of the
Madeleine.
Oscar Solis was born in the Philippines. He attended High School at
Maria Assumpta Seminary, College at Divine Word Seminary in
Tagaytay City and Theology at the Santo Tomas University Central
Seminary. He was ordained a priest on April 28, 1979.
In 1984 he migrated to the United States. On February 10, 2004, he was
ordained Bishop and was the first Filipino-American bishop to be
ordained in the United States. He has served in several states prior to
coming to Utah.

worked through the past year in support of interfaith.
