One Million Meals Service Project

Subject: We Need Your Help – One Million Meals Service Project
Dear Interfaith Leader:
Approximately 415,000 Utahns, including 1 in 6 children, face food insecurity. Silicon Slopes (a regional business association) is asking the community to come together to help address this need for food through a unique service project of packing one million meals to be given to the Utah Food Bank.
Approximately 7,000 volunteers will be needed to complete this project. It is open to all individuals, families, and groups who want to serve. Special “Youth Nights” are available for youth groups to participate in this fun and rewarding project (e.g. faith-based youth groups, school clubs, and sports teams).
In addition to considering this project as a congregation, we invite you to forward this information and the attached invitation to families in your congregation for their consideration.
Registration Information:
What: Packing One Million Meals for the Utah Food Bank
Date: Tuesday – Friday, January 14 -17, 2025
Time: 10 AM to 9 PM (special youth / family times are available from 6 PM to 9 PM)
Where: Salt Palace, 100 South W Temple St., SLC, UT 84101
Who: Community members (all ages, but those under 16 should be accompanied by adults)
