Dear Faith Leader,

We cordially invite you to join us at our Interfaith Suicide Prevention Summit for Faith Leaders, which will take place on October 16th, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gail Miller SLCC Conference Center. We acknowledge the vital role faith leaders play in our community’s prevention efforts, and our goal is to provide you with the tools and knowledge to strengthen resilience, prevent the tragedy of suicide, and offer care and comfort to those affected by a suicide death.

This year’s theme is “Navigating Conflict to Increase Hope and Connection.” Our special guest, Chad Ford J.D., M.S., will be our keynote speaker and provide participants with an interactive, hands-on experience in conflict resolution.

Chad is the author of Dangerous Love: Transforming Fear and Conflict at Home, at Work, and in the World.  He taught Intercultural Peacebuilding at BYU-Hawaii and just accepted a position at the Heravi Peace Institute at Utah State University beginning this Fall. He leads peacebuilding and mediation workshops around the world. He is currently partnering on a major project in the Middle East and several cities in the US to create sustainable peace.

The summit will be a hybrid in-person/virtual event, and you can register by following the link below. Please choose whether you will attend in person or online, as not all breakouts will be available virtually.
