BYU university rising musicians come together to unite and inspire interfaith community in Utah and Salt Lake Counties through music

Provo, Utah
The Soli Deo Gloria Concert will be an inspiring multi-media event, free to the public, showcasing and featuring the classical, inspirational and sacred music of J.S. Bach from the past, and Arvo Pt, a contemporary composer.  Concerts will be held on March 29, 2019, at the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ, and on March 31, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church in Salt Lake City. Music will be performed by Cade Roberts on the piano and Ethan Sherman on the viola. The purpose of this event is to unite members of different faiths to be inspired and edified through the divine gift of music and community fellowship. This event supports the mission of the BYU Wheatley Institution to provide practical and constructive solutions to real societal issues.  Attendees will experience an elevating tranquility through an impactful evening and performance of beautiful music that has the power to comfort, unite and edify.  Soli deo Gloria translated from Latin means “glory to God alone.”

  The talented BYU School of Music performers, Cade Roberts on the piano, and Ethan Sherman on the viola, will inspire the audience through expressive and serene classical compositions. A media presentation will further invite reflection of divinity and the power of the human spirit for an evening that is refreshing, spiritual and experiential.
