National Weekend of Prayer
September 7-9
PrayFaithHopeLife.org —September 7-9 is the National Weekend of Prayer for faith communities across the nation to pray for those whose lives have been touched by suicide. Communities of faith are perfectly positioned to help those who are in crisis or impacted significantly by suicide loss. Last year, the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention’s Faith Community Task Force was able to garner over 300 pledges from faith communities across the United States willing to participate in the National Day of Prayer. This year, the 2018 National Weekend of Prayer recognizes an even broader range of faiths interested in praying for individuals who may be struggling with suicide or whose lives have been touched by suicide or mental illness. Praying is something that faith communities already do and a first step toward creating a community that ministers to the needs of the suffering.
We hope that you and your faith community will participate this year in the 2018 National Weekend of Prayer for Faith, Hope, and Life. Please pass this on to other interested folks.
